Baptisms and Transfers

Hello everyone! Its been a while since I wrote... I think I say that everytime, don't I?

This last week we were able to baptize Ana Beatriz and her sister Yasmim! Their family is mostly member but the mom is inactive and coming back to church! It was a really good experience and their uncle got to do the baptisms! He kinda did them funny because it was his first time but he said it all correctly and they went under water all the way, so it works

Yesterday I was transferred away from the edge of the world and I'm back closer to Curitiba again. I'm in a city just south of the actual city called Fazenda Rio Grande but my area is called Rio IguaƧu! I'm really excited to be here and my new companion is named Elder Lundgren.

Last week I had probably the most interesting lesson of my mission so far. The lady hadn't been progressing for a LOOONGG time but her best friend is a recent convert and asked us to try inviting her to be baptized again. So, we went over and tried to teach and she just was not understanding anything or holding onto ideas or concepts. We stopped in the middle of the lesson to dedicate and cleanse the house and tried to keep going but it was a disaster. Every time I would ask a question she would stare at me for a minute and a half before telling me she didn't understand. At the end of the lesson she asked for a blessing (she does every time) and while we were giving it to her I felt very strongly impressed and repeated the words of my prompting "by the power of the Holy Priesthood and in the name of Jesus Christ, we cleanse and purify you of any and all unclean and evil spirits and bless you with an open heart and mind to accept the true doctrines of our Savior."
It was really strange because I've never done that and I don't even know if that's how you do it, but we left pretty quick after that.

Annywayyyy...

I love you all and I'm thankful for support and prayers! Pray that this new area goes well and I can adjust quick!
Love, Elder McKee
