Adopted Son
Hello my amazing people! This week was really wild, let me tell ya.
Earlier this week we got a reference of someone who wanted to learn more about the Book of Mormon, but he lives a little over an hour and a half from here. God has blessed us with technology in the past couple years as missionaries so we sent him a text and he immediately started answering back talking about baptism. He set up a lesson with us for Saturday morning and he asked if we could set a date to be baptized and if we could mark it that day! He said he knew he needed to and he knew he would be baptized into our church and he was so excited! We sent him a video talking about the Book of Mormon and invited him to read it and within 15 minutes he sent a text that said "My brothers I'm loving this book! I know that it's another testament of Jesus Christ!!" It was so amazing to see his testimony already start to grow. The lesson on Saturday morning ended up falling through and he hasn't answered quite as much since then, so please pray for Tiago!
On Thursday my companion Elder Cuevas was emergency transfered (moved in the middle of transfers) to Curitiba so he could do physical therapy for his arm, and I got a new companion named Elder Brown! Elder Brown has 3 weeks in the mission field so now I'm training him and I have no clue what I'm doing.. pray for me. But, he is a really cool guy and we found out that we probably played against each other in lacrosse! But, he stopped playing earlier on so I'm not actually sure if we would have or not. He is from Orem.
Alma 37:37 says
37 Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.
Always remember to pray about EVERYTHING! God loves you and wants to hear you talk to him and he will help ya out!
Love you all (Philippians 1:3 😉)
