I'm bad at email!

HELLO MY AMAZING PEOPLE!!

So, it's been a couple weeks since I've written... sorry about that. But honestly, you're all probably used to it by now because I'm terrible at emails..

This past couple weeks was ridiculously hot and very busy! Our area here is massive and we have bikes. We also live on the 4th floor of this building (68 steps) and we don't have an elevator so basically it's never ending leg day here. But, the people are good! We are seeing so many miracles and so many people are ready to progress! My job is to figure out how to show them the path. Our branch is pretty small... we usually have around 35-40 people at church but it's good because when we bring new people with us EVERYONE goes and says hi and introduces themselves!

One miracle we saw was as we were contacting some of the investigators. We texted one lady and she was so excited we texted her! We set up an in person lesson (which is a miracle that she lived close enough) and when we got there turns out she was the mom in a family of 7 and this family is so awesome! The only problem is it's about an hour and a little to walk to church for them and they also live at the top of the mountain so it's more like walking down a wall than a hill. We are organizing car rides for them though so hopefully it all works out alright!

These past couple weeks I've been reading Jesus the Christ and its amazing! It's so eye opening to the doctrine and character of Christ and the things we have yet to learn. I've been thinking a lot about the insights of James E. Talmage in this book and its helped me realize how important it is to have prophets and apostles to lead and guide the church now a days.

As we fulfill more prophesy and get closer to the coming of Christ, it will get harder and harder to listen to and follow the voice of the Lord's prophets. Sometimes they might have teachings and talks that we don't agree with. That's not reason to fight against what they're saying. Those men, as men called to their sacred calling of God, are here to help us learn and follow God. If we as members are fighting against the teachings they're teaching, we are fighting the very doctrine and laws of the Heavens. It's extremely easy to show "faith" when the prophet is saving our lives and leading us out of Egypt, but much more difficult when he is calling us to repentance and leading us in directions we have personal grudges against. We need to remember to be humble and let them guide us. They will not guide us wrong.

I love you all and hope you have the most amazing week! (or 2... who knows when I'll write again)

This is the divider between two states.  I live on the right side, but our area covers both.
Kind of like the 4 corners in the states.
