Transfered! FINALLY

Image
Hello everyone! Today was transfers and after 9 months I've finally left Caiuá! My new area is huge! We cover 1/4 of the mission and it's all pretty spread out so I'm excited to get to see more of Brazil. My last week in Caiuá was fun! It was Ivonne's birthday so we got to go to a Venezuelan party and it felt like i was there! Elder Chalaberry and I were the only ones who spoke Portuguese better than Spanish so they just spoke Spanish and I actually didn't do too bad... I think. They sang the birthday song in Spanish which is lively, then we sang it in Portuguese, which is also lively, then they wanted just me to sing it in English.  It’s a boring song in English. We sing too slow. My new area is called União da Vitória and I'm on the very, very bottom edge of the state of Paraná and this city is on the border of the states. There's a lot of stuff to do here, and lots of people who are interested in learning more and talking to us so I'm excited to get t...

Lost Sheep

Hello! This week we didn't have much to do with investigators so we decided to visit some members that show up in our area book. The first night, the first door we knocked on a lady answered and was so excited to see us! (Which I'm not used to) She said that she had been trying to find the chapel and come back with her family, but they didn't know anyone here or where the chapel was, and they missed the church so much. She said she had said a prayer the night before for one more chance to repent and come back and we knocked on her door that night! It was a really cool tender mercy, but the miracle came the next day when basically the EXACT same thing happened with one of the YSAs in the ward and he was so excited to see us. We set up a lunch for the next day! It was really cool to feel like we were actually doing something to make a difference for once! Sorry, I don't have much time today (we have a family night with one of those families!) But I love you all and hope y...

Slow Weeks

Image
Hello everyone! I hope your weeks were all amazing, and you got to see God's hand in your lives! This week (past 2 weeks) were pretty slow, we don't have much going on and all of our efforts to find and teach haven't been very outwardly successful but hopefully we can have better luck this week! We had Stake Conference this week which was so good! Our friend Rael, who's been investigating the church for a really, really long time went and even though he doesn't really want to progress I hope he got to feel the spirit and received some answers.  We invited Miguel to Stake Conference and he said no, which made me really really sad because he's felt the spirit, and received answers, but decided not to do the essential things to continue progressing.  So, keep him in your prayers and hopefully we can keep helping him find that light in his life. On Thursday we got to go to the temple and I LOVE it there! It was so good and I was so thankful to go. The blessings of t...
