Double Weekly

Hey everyone! Sorry i didn't write last week, we were quarantined for a week because we had contact with a couple families who tested positive, but this week was much better! We baptized my friend, Danilo and it was so good! He asked me to baptize him which made me very happy even tho he forgot my name... it was still good though and we even had the Martinez family go and they decided to start taking the lessons again!

After the baptism Danilo told me that when he was getting into the font he had a really weird feeling and he didn't like it, but as soon as I explained how it would go and what I would say he said he felt really good and knew that he was doing what he needed to do. It reminded me of the First vision and how right before Joseph saw God the Father and Jesus Christ he was attacked by the forces of darkness to try and dissuade him and make him give up. Don't give up my friends because the light is coming soon.

This week I was thinking a lot about the feelings God has. We see in the scriptures that God feels sadness (Jesus wept) anger (Noah's ark) satisfaction (the creation) and disappointment. I realized that these feelings that may not be our favorite things in the world, actually are one of the ways we became like God's after the Fall. We no longer live in a state of innocence like Adam and Eve and  we have the ability to feel things and experience all the good and bad this world has to offer! I think it's really cool that we are so blessed to have opportunities to feel these things so we can better appreciate the joy and happiness and love that exists in this world as well.

I love you all, and hope you have a great week!
