Welcome to the WACTAC
Oh my goodness,
Let me start off really fast by saying I've never been busier in my entire life. When D&C 4 was written, Joseph Smith was thinking about the Tacoma Washington mission!
A lot has happened since my last email so I'll go ahead and start from the airport. I said goodbye to my family and I'm so so glad I have all of them to support and love me with this whole thing, because I would not be here without them. I made it to my gate and was extremely surprised by all the missionaries there. There were 34 new missionaries who entered this field the same day I did! Nephi called it a "Marvelous work and wonder" and that's exactly what it is!
We all got to the mission home and met the APs and President and Sistsr Metts, and everyone who keeps the mission running smoothly. We had some dinner then went to the hotel for a night. In the morning we went to a dock/ beach but it was high tide so we didn't even get to go on the beach because it was underwater..
Then we went back to the mission home and did all the trainings and paper work and that took like 4 hours, but at least its over now! After that was done we met our trainers and my new Comp is Elder Morata and he's super super cool. We get along really well. The day I met him we went back to the apartment and dropped my bags off and we went to teach a lesson. It was super cool and I just really felt like that was where I was needed right then.
We always have a super busy schedule and there's never any down time. haha
Even the time we have scheduled for downtime at night usually gets taken over, so we don't stop until it's bed time.
We are allowed to do in person teaching and finding, along with social media, so we set time to knock and do visits each day. As we were going to visit our friend Jesse who we haven't seen in a while I said "okay if we find a blue house with brown trim, they're ready for the gospel and we should knock" and just down the street from Jesse (who wasn't home) we found a blue house with brown trim!!! They weren't home though.
But, their neighbor was! And his name is Charles, he grew up in Louisiana. And this man knows his Bible let me tell you. But, it's pretty cool and we have a return appointment tomorrow.
The field is white and ready to harvest everyone and I can testify that is true for Tacoma Washington as well!

Josh met this Elder who is from Temecula and knows Myan and Steven Moss.
The elder sent this picture to Stephanie Moss and she sent it on to mom. Small world.
