Welcome to the WACTAC

Oh my goodness, Let me start off really fast by saying I've never been busier in my entire life. When D&C 4 was written, Joseph Smith was thinking about the Tacoma Washington mission!  A lot has happened since my last email so I'll go ahead and start from the airport. I said goodbye to my family and I'm so so glad I have all of them to support and love me with this whole thing, because I would not be here without them. I made it to my gate and was extremely surprised by all the missionaries there. There were 34 new missionaries who entered this field the same day I did! Nephi called it a "Marvelous work and wonder" and that's exactly what it is!  We all got to the mission home and met the APs and President and Sistsr Metts, and everyone who keeps the mission running smoothly. We had some dinner then went to the hotel for a night. In the morning we went to a dock/ beach but it was high tide so we didn't even get to go on the beach because it was underwa...

And He's Off!

We had a family breakfast of crepes, which is what we have on special occasions.   Then, Josh signed the Munoa Family Flag that every mission has signed for the last 47 years.                       Mom gave Josh a box of letters from family and friends to open when he needs a                                                                 little encouragement from home.                                                                 Saying goodbye to Evelyn.                                            ...

Getting ready to go!

Grandma and Grandpa Munoa came up the weekend before I left to say goodbye.   Grandma gave me a lesson in hemming pants and sewing on a button, and gave me a small sewing kit. We also went up to see Grandma and Grandpa McKee and say goodbye.   Mom sent a package before I even left home.  She wanted me to have something at  the mission home when I get there. I was also able to see Great Grandma Silcox.  She was telling me to keep notes to remember  it all because she has trouble remembering things. Evelyn trying on my tag. Packing up 2 years of clothes in 3 suitcases.   It fit.

I know, I know...I'll send more emails

Bom Dia and sorry for not writing! I haven’t written because for a while every day felt the same, and then all the sudden, its crunch time and I'm getting ready to go to Washington! It's super exciting and I'm ready to go, but I sure will miss my amazing district and awesome teachers. Not to mention my family!  There are some amazing things I know are waiting for me in Washington and I'm blown away by the support and love I'm getting.  Thank you to everyone who has supported me this far and for all the support and love I’ll continue to get as I go into the mission field. Lets see… what is there to tell everyone about… One of the days this week, Elder Hurst was late because he was getting some immunizations that Brazil requires and so my teacher, Irma Franco, decided to prank him. We all set our zoom backgrounds as ourselves looking like we were zoned out and then left the screen so we looked frozen, and then she told him since we were all frozen he had to teach ...
